Who we are

We help to navigate the healthcare system for you.

Amy DuBois, RN, Board Certified Patient Advocate, has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, working with adults in the medical-surgical area of medicine. She has worked in the acute hospital setting at Bon Secour Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Amy moved to Tucson in 1996 and worked for Gentiva Health Services in providing home health nursing care, Case Management and Hospital Liaison/Care Coordinator until December 2013, when she left her position to start RN Patient Advocate of Tucson, LLC.

When not working, Amy enjoys all that beautiful Tucson has to offer, with her family and friends, giving a home to rescue Great Danes, cheering for the Arizona Wildcats during basketball season, and the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens during their season.

  • Registered Nurse, 30+ years

    Medical-surgical nursing with adults, in acute hospital settings and in the home.

  • Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA)

    Credential granted by the Patient Advocate Certification Board, issued April 1, 2018.

  • Independent advocate since 2013

    Founded RN Patient Advocate of Tucson, LLC in December 2013 to work for patients, not institutions.

  • Tucson since 1996

    Three decades of local knowledge of Southern Arizona hospitals, physicians and care networks.

Acute Issues / Needs

  • Obtain previous medical records to formulate a medical summary for all the physicians on the case
  • Medication review for potential interactions and education to the client about their medicine
